Juanita Susan Cookson, 80, of Puxico, passed away February 1, 2026, at Puxico Nursing Center. She was born July 22, 1945, in East Detroit Michigan, the daughter of Arthur and Juanita Louise Galeener Bagbey.
Susan had a 30-year career as a CNA. She was a member of Brown General Baptist Church in Puxico. She enjoyed embroidering, shopping, and loved her dogs. She was an avid cleaner and always kept a spotless house.
Susan and Carl Cookson were united in marriage on January 1, 1969, in Advance. Carl preceded her in death on May 17, 2025.
Survivors include: two daughters Reine (Rich) Lacy of Oran and Mina (Sam) Jenkins of Franklin, NC, a grandson, Christopher Jenkins of Franklin, NC.
Susan was preceded in death by parents and husband.
