Dola Marie Harris, 83, of Zalma, passed March 7, 2023, at Stonebridge Senior Living in Marble Hill. She was born July 12, 1939 in Gipsy, MO, the daughter of Carlin and Alma Duniphan Meador.
She graduated nursing school in October 1974. Dola had a 42-year career as a nurse at many different facilities.
Dola and Myrl Harris were united in marriage in September 1985, and he preceded her in death on September 12, 1997.
Survivors include: a daughter, Janice (Kenneth) Long VanMatre sons, Parks Long and Mike Long, both of Advance grandchildren, Devan (Haley) Long, Cade Long, Baylor Long, Matthew (Abel) VanMatre and Erin (Timothy) Long Rodgers great-grandchildren, Kyndra Rodgers, Rylan Rodgers, and Marshall Long brother, Dale (Barbara) Meador of Hillsboro, MO and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents her husband son, Dan (Danny and Elle) Long and brother, Dauris Red Meador.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Morgan
Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will follow at Baker Cemetery in Marble Hill.
