J.T. Gregory, 88, of Cape Girardeau, MO, passed away February 26, 2023 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born November 11, 1934 in Lurton, AR, the son of George and Vernie Beare Gregory.
J.T. had been a life-long row crop farmer. He enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. Be believed in the Assembly of God faith. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
J.T. and Virginia Hampton were united in marriage on January 2, 1960 in Bell City and she preceded him in death on December 16, 2021.
Survivors include: a son, Dale (Bonita) Gregory of Rocky Mount, MO a daughter, Donna Gregory of Cape Girardeau a sister, Ellen West of Arab five grandchildren, Shannon, Landon, Jordan, Lacey and Tylor and six great-grandchildren, Brayden, Brantley, Temerance, Elijah, Braylen and Avery.
He was preceded in death by his parents his wife, Virginia a brother, Chester and four sisters, Edith, Edna, Crettie and Larnia.
Visitation will be held on Weds, March1, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel with Rev. Kim Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
