Harry Bud Edman Smith, 101, of Jackson, MO, passed away March 27, 2023 at his home. He was born October 9, 1921 in Whitewater, MO, the son of Harold and Esther Stevens Smith.
For 25 years, Bud and his brother, Harold, had owned and operated S&S Construction in St. Louis. Bud then became a building inspector for a bank where he retired. He was a member of the Jackson Congregation of Jehovah's Witness.
Bud and Lillian Cox were united in marriage in August 1947 and she preceded him in death on November 26, 2004.
Survivors include: a sister, Maybelle Chilton of Jackson, MO a granddaughter, Shannon Pilato of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents his wife, Lillian Smith a son, Kenneth Smith two sisters and a brother.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 1250 County Road 318 in Jackson, MO.
