H. Michael Pape, 78, of Jackson, MO, passed away June 24, 2025, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born September 21, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, the son of August Conrad and Eula Mae Thomas Pape.
Mike retired after many years working as a sales manager at Holloway Distributing in Puxico. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam War. Mike was a long-time supporter of St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
One of the joys of Mikes life was raising his grandson, Landon. Some of their favorite things to do were boating, fishing, going out to eat and their mutual love for law enforcement.
Survivors include: two daughters, Jennifer (Doug) McDaniel of Jackson and Holli Jacobs of Jackson, a son, Justin Pape of Jackson, two sisters, Mina Jennie Laster of St. Louis and Sharon Holmes of Zalma, five grandchildren, Macie McDaniel, Carson McDaniel, Mackenzie Koch, Landon Pape and Jordan Jacobs and two great-grandchildren, Langston Koch and Chandler Koch.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles Connie Pape and Thomas Pape and two sisters, Trella Ward and Mary Lynn Baker.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
