Patricio Loza, 91, of Advance passed away February 8, 2026, at St. Francis Hospitial. He was born on March 17, 1934, in Pharr, Texas, the son of Pablo Leal and Petra Escamilla.

Patricio worked as a dye setter for over 50 years at Lyon Metal in Aurora, IL. He was a Veteran of the US Army. He was a member of Greenbrier Assembly Church. He enjoyed taking care of his fish in his pond and was an avid landscaper. He was known for always helping loved ones and friends in need. He loved his family more than anything and was a wonderful and dedicated father. He loved having family meals with music and a bonfire.

Patricio and Anna Maria Martinez on July 17, 1966, in Sterling IL, and she preceded him in death on July 30, 2007.

Survivors include: four sons, Patrick Loza of Aurora, IL, Raymon Loza of Aurora, IL, Rene Loza of Lincoln, IL and Joey Loza of Gordonville, MO, three daughters, Maria Jesus Topps of Florida, Olivia Shipley of Advance and Sharon (Jerry) Carpenter of Advance, three brothers, Raymon Leal, Rudy Leal and Ron Leal, all of Sterling, IL, three sisters, Jessie Loza of Sterling, IL, Dora Hamilton of Dixon, IL and Mary Loza of Corpus Christi, TX, 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers and three sisters.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel with Rev. Debbie Smith. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance with full military rites.
