Floyd Bowers, 72, of Advance passed away September 8, 2019 at his home. He was born December 5, 1946 in Delta, MO, son of George Washington and Victoria Eakins Bowers.
Floyd had been a Chief Engineer for AEP. He attended Haynes Chapel in Millersville, MO. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and served in the Vietnam War.
Floyd and Bonnie Bowers were united in marriage on April 1, 1991 in Illinois and she survives of the home.
Survivors include: his wife, Bonnie Bowers a son, Tyler Bowers of Chaffee a daughter, Sara Bartels of Chaffee a step-daughter, Sherryl (Shawn) Probst of Chaffee three sisters, Mary baker of St. Peters, MO, Shirley (Carmon) Wilton of Cape Girardeau and Bonnie Bowers of Cape Girardeau four grandchildren, Samantha Bartels, Evan Bartels, Chevy Chapman and Shelby Probst.
He was preceded in death by his parents five brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 10, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fairview General Baptist Church near Advance. A funeral service will be held on Weds. September 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview General Baptist Church. Rev. Scott Cook and Rev. Jason Meyers will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery near Advance.
