Shirley E. Colbert, 81, of Advance, MO passed away September 28, 2020 at the Advance Nursing Center in Advance, Mo. She was born February 2, 1939 in Advance, the daughter of John Leo and Laura Alta Wallace Sparkman.
Shirley had worked at the Inland Shoe Factory in Advance for 25 years. She later worked at the Advance Nursing Center as a Nurses Aide for several years. She attended Fairview Baptist Church near Advance.
Shirley and Doyle Colbert were united in marriage on June 29, 1974 in Advance and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include: a sister, Mary Stephens of Advance and two nieces, Bonnie McCulley of Jackson, Mo and Glenda Rush of Puxico.
Proceeded in death by her parents her husband two brothers, Otis and Odell Sparkman and a nephew, Steven Ray Stephens.
Visitation will be held Friday October 2, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel with Rev. Earl Elfrink. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
