Verna Mae Gloth, 80, of Whitewater, passed away January 7, 2021 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born April 3, 1940 in Patton, MO, the daughter of George and Esther Yamnitz Welker.
Verna spent her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and being outside gardening. She was a member of the Delta First Baptist Church.
Verna and Harold Gloth were united in marriage on November 2, 1968 in Marble Hill.
Survivors include: her husband, Harold Goth of the home a daughter, Patricia (Mickey) Ackman of Whitewater three brothers, Paul Welker and Darrel Welker, both of Patton and Karol Welker of Fredericktown and a sister, Mary Jane Ehlers of Perryville.
She was preceded in death by her parents a brother, Perry Welker and three sisters, Vera Bishop, Joy Bollinger and Marcia Welker.
Visitation will be held on Friday January 8, 2021from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held on Saturday January 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will follow at Passover Cemetery.
