Joyce Mae Gilles, 84, of Bell City, passed away September 12, 2021 at the Chaffee Nursing Center. She was born March 2, 1937 in Wysox, PA, the daughter of James Albert and Edna Beatrice Belles.
Joyce had worked as an LPN at the Puxico Nursing Center. She had previously worked at the Shetley Nursing Center in Bell City. She was a member of the Bell City United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Joyce enjoyed being outdoors and gardening.
Survivors include: a daughter, Michelle Evans of Bell City a granddaughter, Jennifer (Rusty) Mayfield of Kelso a great-grandson, Parker Mayfield and a brother, Albert Maryott of Towanda, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents a sister, Shirley Lattimer and two brothers, Tom Maryott and Bob Maryott.
A celebration of life will be held on Wed. September 15, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Bell City United Methodist Church. Rev. George Rendleman will officiate.
