Earl Laverne Hampton, 88, of Advance, passed away January 30, 2022 at his home, with his family by his side. He was born February 8, 1933 in Peach Orchard, AR, the son of Cecil and Nettie Jane Bowers Hampton.
Earl joined the U.S. Air Force in 1952, serving two years at Nellis Air base in Nevada and two years in Japan. He was honorable discharged in July 1956.
He had worked in St. Louis, Rockford, IL and retired from Arvin North American Automotive in Dexter in 1995. He was the first President of the Advance FOE Eagles 4154.
Earl and Loraine Laverne Green were united in marriage on December 1, 1956 in St. Louis and she preceded him in death on November 2, 2018.
Survivors include: two daughters, Lisa (Clark) Cloninger of Advance and Jennifer Morphew of Brownwood a brother, Cecil Hampton of Doniphan a sister-in-law, Betty Hampton of Doniphan four grandchildren, Leslie Markham, Erin (Kelly) Shelby Ace (Jessica) Cloninger and Vanessa (Geoff) Bowman six great-grandchildren, Jace Markham, Emily Winchester, Oliver Cloninger, Avery Cloninger, Emitt Bowman and Evie Cloninger.
He was preceded in death by his parents four sisters and four brothers.
A graveside service will be held on February 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
