Lynn Dale Casey, 78, of Advance, passed away March 12, 2023, at his home. He was born September 12, 1944 in Stoddard County, MO, the son of Rev. James O. and Rev. Pearl Fitzpatrick Casey.
Lynn was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Eagles. His favorite hangout was the Duck Creek Bar, where he loved to sing and always made a friend.
He spent his life as a musician and entertainer. He was a gifted singer and guitarist.
Survivors include: four sons, David (Buffy) Gryton of Tulsa, OK, Jeff (Ella) Long of Sikeston, Jimmy (Wendy) Casey of Advance and Greg (Karrie) Casey of Sikeston a daughter, Missy Casey of Sikeston two sisters, Elizabeth Maghee and Alga Griggs grandchildren, Christopher Cannon, Hallie Long, Timmy Long, Jeffery Long, Jessica Lynn Long, Mayson Casey, Dallan Stotts, Nichole Sanchez, Kenneth Dalton Walters, Aaron Casey, Luke Casey, Ashton Irby Casey, Lauren Casey Voyles, Alyssa Casey, Peter Gryton, Michael Gryton and Megan Hightower great-grandchildren, Lexi, Sofie, Zeke, Koda. Roselyn, Bryce, Remi, Winston and one on the way.
He was preceded in death in death by his parents his wife, Anita Cannon special friend, Joyce Day four sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel with Rev. Larry Gammons. Burial will follow at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, MO, with full Military Honors.
