Robert Lee Fuwell, 63, of McGee, passed away April 2, 2025, at his home. He was born February 11, 1962, in Malden, the son of James and Joyce Palmer Fuwell.
Robert worked for 27 years for the New Madrid Highway Department. He loved his work family and enjoyed working every day. He loved riding his horse, Grey, working on the farm, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Robert and Connie Jean Smith were united in marriage on December 29, 1995, and she survives of the home.
Survivors include: his wife, Connie, two sisters, Teresa (Dale) Clark of McGee and Mary (Calvin) Barnhart of McGee, a brother, Randy (Kim) Fuwell of Puxico, a son, Jeremy Smith of Jackson, five daughters, Toshia (Jimmy) Hamm of Kennett, Kristina (Chris) Martin of Chillicothe, OH, Misty (Desi) Higgs of Lowndes, Danielle (Charley) Cureton of Advance, and Tracy (Chad Goza) Fuwell of Sikeston, 21 grandchildren, Elijah Smith of Jackson, Emery Smith of Jackson, Lane Underwood of Belvedere, IL, Luke Underwood of Wardell, Destin Hamm of Kennett, Serenity Hamm of Kennett, Savannah Martin of Ohio, Landon Martin of Ohio, Addyson Martin of Ohio, Anastasia Martin of Ohio, Lincoln Martin of Ohio, Jude Martin of Ohio, Ayliyah Higgs of Lowndes, Equinox Higgs of Lowndes, Macey Tanner of Dexter, Taylor Barnett of Advance, William Boyer of Puxico, Emily Cureton of Advance, Brooke Cureton of Advance, James Cureton of Advance and Jedidiah Cureton of Advance, and 3 great-grandchildren, Wyston Barnett of Advance, Tymber Tanner of Dexter and Lakelyn Tanner of Dexter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Joyce Fuwell and a brother, Lloyd Bo Fuwell.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the chapel. Charley Cureton, Jeremy Smith and State Rep. Donnie Brown will officiate. Burial will follow at McGee New Hope Cemetery in McGee, MO.
