Shelby Jean Compas, 82, of Scott City, MO, passed away September 5, 2023, at her home. She was born June 24, 1941, in Advance, MO, the daughter of Barney W. and Edna Hawkins Green.
Shelby had worked at several different factories over the years. She enjoyed spending time working in her yard, she grew beautiful flowers. She loved taking care of her dogs.
Shelby and Clifford A. Compas were united in marriage in 1973 in Las Vagas, NV and he preceded her in death on March 28, 2020.
Survivors include: four brothers, Barney Green of Scott City, Jerry Green of St. Charles, Donald Green of St. Louis, and Roy Green of Bell City six sisters, Dixie Billingsly of Lowndes, Sue Adams of Steele, Doris Lacey of Bell City, Linda Harvey of Bloomfield, Faye Cockrell of Lowndes, and Sharon DeLay of Bell City and a host of other family members.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel with Rev. Ray Green officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
