Bonita Gaye Gregory, 59, of Rocky Mount, MO, passed away November 1, 2026. She was born November 4, 1966, at Poplar Bluff, MO, the daughter of Donald and Sharon Hayden Shepherd.

Some people simply have a way of making the world a brighter place, and Bonita was one of those people. She truly was the life of the party. She had a gift for making people feel welcomed, loved, and accepted. Whether you were family, a longtime friend, or someone she had just met, she had a way of making you feel like you belonged. Her warmth, laughter, generous spirit, and willingness to offer wisdom and guidance touched the lives of so many. She was someone people could turn to for encouragement, advice, and a listening ear.

Her love for children was especially evident throughout her life. She spent many years as a preschool teacher, touching the hearts of countless little ones and their families. She later continued her dedication to children and families through her work with the Childrens Division, where she served until her retirement. Children were naturally drawn to her, and she had a special way of making each one feel important and loved.

Above all, Bonita loved God. Her faith was not simply something she spoke about it was something she lived. She was a devoted and faithful member of New Life Barnett, where she joyfully served the Lord and shared His love with others. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and her love for God was reflected in the way she loved and cared for those around her.

Bonitas presence was larger than life, and her absence will be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that the love she gave, the lives she touched, the memories she created will live on. The laughter she brought into a room, the wisdom she shared, and the way she welcomed everyone as her own will never be forgotten

She was the very best wife to her husband, Dale, sharing a life of ministry, built on love, commitment, and the countless memories they made together. To her children, Lacey (Alex) and Tylor, she was simply the best mom anyone could ask for. She loved them fiercely, encouraged them faithfully, and took great pride in the people they became.

Bonita held another very special distinction she was Don and Sharons favorite child! At least, thats the way the story ought to be told. She shared a special bond with her twin sister, Anita, and was a beloved sibling to Kevin, Karen, and Keith. She was also a dearest sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Of all the titles she held throughout her life, one of her most treasured was Glamma to her beloved grandchildren, Braylen, Avery, and Cannon. They brought immeasurable joy to her life, and she loved them with all her heart.

Her family will carry her love in their hearts, her memories in their stories, and the hope of seeing her again through Jesus Christ. Well done, good and faithful servant.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Life Chapel Assembly of God Church in Puxico, MO. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. JD Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow at Duck Creek Cemetery.
