Carl Edward Hunt, 82, of Bell City, MO, passed away on September 10. 2023 at his home. He was born July 3, 1941, in Deventer, MO, son of Lendell and Mary Slayden Hunt.
Carl had been a lifelong farmer. He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member and trustee of the Bell City General Baptist Church.
Reading was one of Carls favorite pastimes. He also enjoyed walking, camping, and was an avid Bell City Cubs sports fan. He loved to eat sweets and was known for baking brownies and dump cakes to share at church functions and with Bell City High School athletic teams.
Carl and Evelyn Louise Spears were united in marriage on January 4, 1962, at Bell City at Evelyns home. She survives of the home.
Survivors include: his wife, Evelyn Hunt a son, Kevin Wayne (Stacey) Hunt of Bell City a daughter, Sonja Kaye Wright of Cape Girardeau a brother, Calvin Beach of Mayfield, KY a sister, Loretta Ellis of Charleston, MO five grandchildren, Marshall Blake (Heather) Autry, Jordan Autry, McKenzie (Danny) Wright, McKayla (Peyton) Maddox, and Austin Hunt of Eielson Air Force Base Fairbanks, Alaska and three great-grandchildren, Blake Autry, Quinn Autry, and Sammy Wright.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the chapel with Rev. Mike Lee and Rev. John Paul Stogsdill officiating. Burial will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
