Dorothy Maxine Roberts, of Puxico, at the age of 93 years and 9 months, passed away April 2, 2024, at the Advance Assisted Living in Advance, MO. She was born at Puxico, MO on June 24, 1930, the daughter of John Libe Welsch and Anna Cleotis David Welsch.
Dorothy and Charles Herbert Roberts were united in marriage on March 21, 1949, in Piggot, Arkansas, he preceded her in death on November 6, 2014.
She is survived by four children, Al Roberts of Bloomfield, Brenda Lingafelter of Puxico, Gale (Hershel) Lacy of Arab, and Nancy (Rus) Lanpher of Advance, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a sister, Juanita Louise Gossett of Dexter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons-in-laws, Randall Faries and Don Lingafelter and a daughter-in-law, Donna Roberts, brothers and sisters, Silvia Benson, Levi Welsch, Virgil Welsch, Alma Swink, Pete Welsch, Odena Greer, and J.L. Welsch.
Dorothy worked at Ralph Edwards Sportswear and was a homemaker. She was an active member of the Puxico First Baptist Church for many years. Her culinary skills were put to the test as she helped prepare many dinners for families, VBS, and Wednesday teen night.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Puxico First Baptist Church in Puxico, MO. A funeral service will be held at the church at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Justin Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, MO.
