Sally Ann Livers Bess, 85, of Advance, passed away June 9, 2024, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born January 23, 1939, in Stoddard County, MO, the daughter of Thomas and Betty Glasscox Livers.
For 30 years Sally owned and operated Sallys Beauty Shop in Advance. She was a member of St. Jospeh Catholic Church in Advance.
Sally loved and adored her family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She kept her home welcoming and inviting to all and always made sure everyone was well fed. Sally loved to dance, especially the jitter bug. She often said she grew up in the best of times.
Sally and Gary Bess were united in marriage on May 15, 1957, in Hernando, MS and he preceded her in death on March 6, 2009.
Survivors include: two sons, Brian Bess, and Ricky Bess, both of Advance, a daughter, Melinda Masters of Advance, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a granddaughter, Jaime Bess, and a brother, James Livers.
Visitation will be held on Weds., June 12, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, MO. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel with Father Glenn Elfrink officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
