Pernell Bradshaw, 86, of Delta, MO, passed away June 18, 2024, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born May 5, 1938, in Zalma, MO, the son of James and Alma Stacey Bradshaw.
Pernell had been employed as a baker at Benny Bread for 26 years. He was also employed at Walmart for 15 years.
During his life he was involved with many duties of the community of Delta. He was a member of the Delta Rotary Club, serving as president for three years. He actively participated in the Delta Civil Defense, that later became known as the Delta Volunteer Fire Department. He had also worked as the Delta water plant manager.
He was a member of the Delta First Baptist Church. He served many roles including Bus Driver, Sunday School teacher, Deacon, and Usher. Pernell had been a member of the Masonic Lodge in Whitewater for 50 years.
Pernell was united in marriage to Bonnie Groves for 60 years, they had been married on June 7, 1958. She preceded him in death on October 1, 2018.
Survivors include: a daughter, Tamara (Doug) Simminger a son, Timothy (Debra) Bradshaw four grandchildren, Rennee (Brad) Clark, Lauren (Dalton) Foltz, Jessica Bradshaw, and Megan (Caleb) Newcomer and 10 great-grandchildren, Karissa Clark, Dakota Clark, Mattie Clark, Ali Clark, Camdyn Clark, Luke Foltz, Lane Foltz, Laikyn Foltz, Lynlei Foltz, and Louis Foltz.
He was preceded in death by his parents his wife, Bonnie, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Delta First Baptist Church in Delta, MO. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Randy Conn officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance, MO.
