Pearlene Murel Porter, 86 of Advance, MO passed away Saturday, January 11th, 2025 at Advance Assisted Living Center. She was born May 31, 1938, in Gypsy, MO to Clarence and Bethel Bishop White.
Pearlene has been a resident of Advance, MO for 60 years and worked at the Inland Shoe Factory, later retiring from Brown Shoe Company. She was a faithful member of Berrong General Baptist Church.
Several nights you could find her playing skipbo and dominoes with her girlfriends in her sunroom and always enjoyed a houseful of family and friends. Her most cherished times were spent with her 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Pearlene and Maurice Meador were united in marriage on August 10, 1957. He preceded her in death on May 30th, 1974. She married Frank Porter on October 3, 1977. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2010.
Survivors include: 4 daughters, Brenda (Joe) Spencer of Henderson, KY, Charlotte (Elizabeth Sullivan) Meador of Cape Girardeau, MO, Cynthia (Paul) Gould of Adams, TN, Candy (Grant) Fox of Ponder, TX. Eight grandchildren, David (Jill) Tropf, Lyle (Jennifer) Tropf, Nicole (Jamie) Schrader, James (Mackenzie) Wilton, Alaina (Dustin) Wallace, Ashlen (Adrian) Peacher, Garrett Fox, Greysen Fox, and grandog Maggie. Along, with fifteen greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her twin sister, Imogene White, sister, Mary McIntosh, brothers, Wilburn, Delbert and Kenneth White.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 5 pm 8 pm CST at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, MO. Funeral service will be held at Berrong General Baptist Church in Gypsy, MO. Visitation at 10 am, funeral at 11 am CST. Brother Dan Overton will be officiating. Burial will follow at Berrong Cemetery near Gipsy, MO.
