Franklin Bowen, 89, of Portageville, passed away July 10, 2025, at the Jackson Manor He was born December 30, 1935, in Keiser Arkansas. Frank was the son Harland Bowen and Myrtle Broom.
Frank worked as a farmer for 60 years, when he was not working you could find him catching fish. Frank took care of his family and had a huge heart. He always loved to laugh and joke. Frank was known for saying exactly what was on his mind and was outspoken.
Frank and Wilma Griswell were united in marriage on February 18, 1959, she proceeded him in death on September 4, 1975.
Frank is survived by two daughters, Debbie Hitchcock of Cuba Missouri and Patsy (Charles) Surface of Bell City Missouri, eight grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Frank was preceded by two daughters Rebecca Polley and Sarah Bowen, two brothers, three sisters, and a granddaughter.
Services will be held on Thursday July 17, 2025, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a funeral at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Mike Lee will officiate. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
