Rev. James Robert Bradford, 93, of Advance, passed away August 9, 2025, at his home. He was born July 17, 1932, in Piggott, Arkansas, the son of Elijah McKinley and Lula Lavern Jones Bradford.
For 72 years Bob had been a General Baptist Minister. During his career he held numerous revivals all over the country from Good Friday through the fall. Bob touched an unmeasurable amount of lives spreading Gods word and love. He became and mentor for many people.
Bob and Clara Robinson were united in marriage on September 9, 1950, in Piggott and she preceded him in death on March 6, 1997. He later married Margaret Enderle Cox on June 18, 1999, and she survives of the home.
Survivors include: his wife, Margaret Cox Bradford, a son, Jeff (Melissa) Bradford of Sikeston, three daughters, Marsha (Pat) Williams of Dexter, Diane Holland of Bloomfield and Pat (Steve) Grimes of Dexter, two step-sons, James (Linda) Cox of Delta and Jeff (Tracey) Cox of Jackson, a sister, Mildred Lovelady of Dexter, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Greg Bradford, a daughter, Rhonda Lee Bradford, and a sister, Norma Jean Ralston.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel with Rev. Kenny Burchard and Rev. Roger Overby officiating. Burial will follow at Piggott Memorial Gardens in Piggott, Arkansas
