Service:03/02/2026

Carol Lee McFerron, 88, of Advance, Missouri, passed away peacefully at Advance Assisted Living on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

Born October 10, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Paul and Geneva (Snyder) Corbin. She was united in marriage to Kenneth A. McFerron on April 15, 1956, beginning a lifelong partnership devoted to family and faith.

Carol was a graduate of Advance High School and a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Advance. She played an essential role in the success of the family farm, managing finances, ordering parts and supplies, chauffeuring workers from field to field, and making certain everyone was well cared for and well fed.

Later in life, she fulfilled her dream of travel, visiting multiple countries throughout Europe and exploring destinations across the United States alongside her husband. Creative and artistic, Carol was also a wonderful home cook who enjoyed preparing favorite meals and desserts for her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Her greatest happiness came from caring for those she loved and creating a warm and welcoming home for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth McFerron daughter, Jeana (Wayne) Berron of St. Charles, Missouri daughters-in-law, Jan McFerron and April McFerron of Cape Girardeau grandchildren, Ross (Alisa) McFerron of Cape Girardeau, Whitney (Vincent Olivier) McFerron of Lille, France, Matthew McFerron of St. Louis, Grace (Zach) Weinberger of Chicago, Joseph Berron of St. Charles, and William Berron of Chicago great-grandchildren, Wesley and Leah McFerron of Cape Girardeau and Louise and Auguste Olivier of Lille, France sister, Shirley Kalinski of Advance and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Geneva Corbin her sons, Kenny McFerron and Paul McFerron and infant son, Phillip McFerron.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 2, 2026, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Missouri, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel with Rev. Dan Overton officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
