Samuel Thomas McMillin, Jr. 80, of Lowndes, MO, passed away October 18, 2025, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born May 15, 1945, in St. Louis, MO, the son of Samuel Thomas McMillin, Sr. and Mable Irene Lynch McMillin.
Sam had been a truck driver for Cassens Transport for over 25 years. He attended Corinth Baptist Church. He had been a member of the Lions Club and a Lowndes volunteer firefighter. Sam loved to sing and karaoke. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Sam and Corrine Hill were united in marriage on October 4, 2004, at Wayne County, MO, and she survives of the home.
Survivors include: his wife, Corrine McMillin, two daughters, Christine (Barton) Berling of Muskegon, MI and Karyn (Daniel) Castilleja of Lowndes, a son, David McMillin of Ann Arbor, MI, a step-son, Ricky Fischer of Lowndes, two step-daughters, Debra (Douglas) Thompson of Benton and Shelly Fischer of Poplar Bluff, a brother, Jim McMillin of Punta Gorda, FL, 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Patrica Ballard and Doris Watson, and a grandson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel with Rev. John Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery near Lowndes.
