Charlotte Sue Sifford, 76, of Puxico, passed away November 7, 2025, at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 22, 1949, in Poplar Bluff, the daughter of Ulysses and Dorothy Wilfong Scott.
Charlotte was a proud 1967 graduate of Puxico High School. She earned an associate degree from Three Rivers College, a bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University, and a masters degree from Arkansas State University. She had a long career as a speech pathologist at numerous schools, nursing homes, and hospitals.
Charlotte was a member of the Stoddard County Cowboy Church in Puxico. She was also a member of the Pahicah Club, Womens Duck Creek Wings, and the Puxico VFW Auxiliary #7822. She was a lifelong volunteer for the Puxico Homecoming, dedicating many years to supporting her community.
She took pride in mowing her lawn and tending to her flowers. She found joy sitting on her porch swing with her husband, Eddie, watching hummingbirds while listening to her windchimes, while their cat, Baby Kitty watched from the windows.
She was known for making delicious potato soup. She was a talented pianist and singer, singing in the group the Gospel Echoes. Her greatest blessings in life were her family. She embraced her role as a dedicated wife, mother, and grandma.
Charlotte and Eddie Sifford were united in marriage on June 28, 1969, at Puxico and he preceded her in death on July 8, 2023.
Survivors include: two sons, Scott (Heather) Sifford of Puxico and Anthony (Kimberly) Sifford of Dexter and four grandchildren, Bryce Sifford, Carlie Sifford, Isabella Sifford, and Luke Conner.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Eddie.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Stoddard County Cowboy Church in Puxico. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the church with her son, Rev. Scott Sifford officiating. Burial will follow at Puxico Cemetery in Puxico.
