Kenneth D. Welty, 75, of Advance, was born the son of the late Owen Welty and Claudia Fowler Welty, was born on February 29, 1944, in Pollard, Arkansas. Kenny married Janet Sue Welker in Greenbriar on January 2, 1965 for a marriage totaling 54 years.

Growing up he enjoyed swimming in the St. Francis River, fishing, hunting and, as a father, coaching little league. Kenny proudly served in the Navy and the Navy reserves, serving a total of 8 years and was a firm supporter of veteran affairs. He worked for Hedrick Concrete for 10 years and retired from SEMO Ready Mix after 25 years, but continued part time for Delta Concrete for 5 years.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Janet daughter Barbara Welty sons Bradley Welty and William (Marsha) Welty grandkids Loghan Hill, William Dakota and Dylan Welty brother Ronnie (Lori) Welty sisters Bonnie (Eugene) Clayton and Janice (Larry) Norman and long time friend Ronnie (Rose) Brooks.

He was preceded in death by his parents brothers Michael, Carroll, and Jim Welty and sister Fayeon Welty Ashcraft.

Visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 9:30 and followed by the funeral service at 11:30 with Maurice "Reese" Beeson officiating the ceremony.

Burial will take place at the Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield at 1:00 with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be given to Stoddard County Children's Home or Missouri Patriot Guard Riders (1107 Springbrook Park, Farmington, Mo 63640.)
