Joyce Marie Fuwell, 83, of McGee, passed away on August 4, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 25, 1938 in Kennett, MO, the daughter of Bryant Leroy and Esther Jewell Stockton Palmer.
Joyce worked as a cook at New Madrid County Schools for many years. Later she became a cook at the Puxico Nursing Center. She enjoyed spending her time making beautiful quilts and gardening.
Joyce and James Robert Fuwell were united in marriage on October 1, 1955 in Michigan. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2018.
Survivors include: three sons, Robert (Connie) Fuwell of McGee, Randy (Kim) Fuwell of Puxico and Lloyd Fuwell of McGee two daughters, Teresa (Dale) Clark of McGee and Mary (Calvin) Barnhart of McGee a sister, Mary Jewell Stinson of Greenville ten grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents her husband two brothers, Billy and Carl Palmer and a sister, Berty Neapean.
Visitation will be held on Saturday August 6, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel with Rev. Robert Randolph. Burial will follow at McGee New Hope Cemetery in McGee, MO.
