Dwight Richard Powers, 85, of Cape Girardeau, MO, passed away March 9, 2023 at Aspire Senior Living of Advance in Advance, MO. He was born May 21, 1937 at Parma, MO, the son of True Victor and Wilma Bryant Powers.
Dwight retired from Southeast Hospital and he was a member of Abbey Road Christian Church.
Dwight and Wanda Green were united in marriage on June 26, 1959 at Union Grove Church in Swinton, MO. She preceded him in death on May 23, 2015.
Survivors include a son, Terry (Darla) Powers of Advance, MO and two daughters: Kimberly Haggett of Essex, MO and Allison (Gavin) Page of Oran, MO. He is also survived two brothers: J.C. Powers of Cape Girardeau, MO and Chester (Emma) Powers of Advance, MO. Other survivors include seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Dwight was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, MO. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel with Reverend Gavin Page and Reverend Wayne Page officiating.
