Bill Hanshew, 76, of Perkins, passed away February 3, 2024, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He waws born March 24, 1947, in Whitewater, MO, the son of Ray Murl and Dorothy Maxine Taylor Hanshew.
Bill had been an over-the-road truck driver for many years. He enjoyed spending time fishing, being outdoors, traveling, barbecuing, and gardening. He loved spoiling his grandchildren.
Bill and Sharon Kay Pittman were united in marriage on July 19, 1987, at Chaffee and she survives of the home.
Survivors include: his wife, Sharon Hanshew a daughter, Casandra (Robin Zimmerman) Hanshew of Jackson three sons, Darrell Hanshew, Dennis Hanshew, and Larry Hanshew, all of Scott City two sisters, Paula Jones of Chaffee and Rita Crader of Old Appleton five grandchildren, Jamie Hanshew, Koty Hanshew, Trace Hanshew, Travis Hanshew, and Journey Hanshew and one on the way and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents a brother, Roger Hanshew and a grandchild, Charlie Hanshew.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 6, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held Weds. February 7, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at the chapel with Rev. Leeman Shirrell officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance, MO.
