Mr. Jim Franklin Rampley, age 87, of Bell City passed away on Friday morning, May 23, 2025. He was born December 23rd 1937 in Shady Dell, Missouri, a son of Leonard and Verbie (Morris) Rampley.


Jim Rampley, aka Jimbo, aka Red Rambler, aka George Stokes and long time partner Rebecca Kelso loved to travel, meet new people and see new places. Jim was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a helicopter mechanic in Iceland during the late 50s. Jim worked in several other careers during his life including a mechanic, heavy machinery operator, farmer and business owner. Jim was a member of the Bell City Community of Faith Church where he attended regularly.


Jim is survived by three children: Tammie (Steve) Haas of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Sherry (Eric) Urhahn of Oran Missouri, Jim (Bobbie) Rampley of Bell City, Missouri Six grand children, Jim III (Jasmine) Rampley, Jodi (Ryan) Martin, Nolan (Hannah) Urhahn, Gabriel (Georgia) Haas, Nicole (Bobby) Wright, Trevor (Melanie) Haas, and seven great-great grandchildren Murphy, Paxton, Gatlin, Sevie, Dani, Farrah, and Darcy two brothers, Joe (Debbie) Rampley of Bloomfield, Carl (Kay) Rampley of Oran, was preceded in death by brothers Carmen (Lavern), Charles (Joyce), Raymon (Betty), Richard, Leonard (Pam) Jr., and sisters Morene (Bloyse) Propst and Helen Winfrey.


Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 29th. Visitation 9am to 11:30am at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Missouri. Service is at 11:30am. Graveside service at 1pm at Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield.
