Shirley Ann Clarkston, 84, of Advance, passed away peacefully at her home on November 22, 2025, after a long battle with RA, surrounded by her loving husband, Howard, and her family. She was born September 9, 1941, in Sturdivant, the daughter of Archie and Pearl Cantrell.


Shirley was a member of Fathers Arms Fellowship in Scott City. When she was able to regularly attend church, she was an involved member. Shirley had a career as a real estate agent in Advance.


Shirley had been united in marriage to Jim Moore, he preceded her in death. On August 10, 1985, Shirley and Howard L. Clarkston were united in marriage, and he survives of the home.


Shirley had two children, Terri Hazel of Advance and Jerri (Tina) Moore of Scott City. Shirley and Howard also have two children Michelle (Steve) Mosher of Modesto, CA and Rob Clarkston of Modesto, CA. Eight grandchildren, Dustyn Hazel precedes her in death, Jordyn Hazel of Advance, Gabryn (Leslie) Hazel of Advance, Brandon Mosher of Modesto, CA, Brandon Littleton of Rock Port, TX , Chris Littleton of Scott City, and Aaron (Aslyn) Littleton of Rock Port, TX, 10 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Stan (Becky) Cantrell of Advance and Rodeny (Gail) Cantrell of Advance, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of friends and loved ones.


She was preceded in death by her parents, great-grandparents, Ed and Allie Cantrell, grandson, Dustyn Hazel, mother-in-law, Juanita Murray, and son -in -law, Bill Hazel.


Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel with Rev. Jerri Moore officiating and Pastors Ken and Nancy Strong assisting. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
