Larry Gene Pittman, 77, of Dexter, passed away April 13, 2026, at Crowley Ridge Nursing Center in Dexter. He was born on March 10, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Leon and Emma Jones Pittman.
Larry worked at the Florsheim Shoe Factory in Cape Girardeau for over 20 years. He later worked at Dexter Plating in Dexter. He enjoyed spending time working on cars, deer hunting and mowing his yard.
Larry and Debra Pittman were united in marriage in 1987, and she preceded him in death on March 15, 2010.
Survivors include: a daughter, Sharon Hanshew of Cape Girardeau, two sons, Christopher (Emily) Glaub of Lincoln, NE and Gary (Jennifer) Pittman of Dexter, a sister, Carolyn (Jimmy) Moody of Zalma, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a daughter, Laura Pittman, a great-grandchild, Charlie, twin brother, Gary Pittman, brother, Doug and Jerry Pittman, and sisters, Sharon Pittman and Emma Pittman.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel with Rev. Leeman Shirrell officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
