Alan Lee Markham, of Zalma, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, at his home. He was born February 25, 1954, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Jack Markham Sr. and Katherine Benfield.
Alan worked as an auto body repairman and Rhodes gas in Advance all his life. He was a hard-working family man.
Alan and Sherry Kitchen were united in marriage on May 3, 1997, in Advance. Sherry survives the home.
Survivors include: a son Christopher Markham of Bell City, Two daughters Chelsey Markham of Delta and Alayna Adams of Zalma, a brother Kevin Markham of Advance, a sister Nancy Huhn of Fenton, Missouri, and 16 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by one brother Jack Markham, One Nephew Jody Markham, Two grandsons, Carson Markham and Cooper McCain, One granddaughter, Lucy McCain, and one brother-in-law Danny Huhn.
Services will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Morgan Funeral Chapel. The visitation will start at 10:00 am with a funeral service following at 12:00 pm. Reverend Mike Lee will be officiating the service. After the funeral a burial will follow at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery in Marble Hill.
