Lawrence Larry Paul Story, 82, of Advance, MO, went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2023, in Joplin, MO. He was born March 10, 1941, in Kankakee, IL, the son of Burt and Francis Houde Williams.
Larry retired after a 35-year career at the Ford Motor Company in Chicago Heights, IL. After retiring he enjoyed traveling the country with his wife, Deborah. They loved spending their winters in Yuma, Arizona.
Larry was a member of the Advance First Church in Advance, MO.
Larry and Deborah Diane James Whisker were united in marriage in Bradley, IL and she survives of the home.
Survivors include: his wife, Deborah Story two sons, Lawrence Story of Kankakee, IL and Michael (Kerry) Whisker of Wilmer, AL two daughters, Brenda Miller of Watseka, IL and Becky (John) Sherman of Wilmer, AL a brother, Bruce Story of Bourbonnais, IL a sister, Barbara Banta of Vermont 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Armand Story.
Larrys family loved him very much and will greatly miss him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, MO. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. the chapel with Rev. Brad Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Kenyon Cemetery near Delta, MO.
