The Lord called Darlene Bollinger home on 03 22 2022 at the age of 92. She was born February 22, 1930 in Sylvania, Ohio to Andrew and Dorothy (Box) Barry.
Darlene married Donald Bollinger November 20, 1948 in St Clair Shores, Michigan. They had two sons: Richard (Robin) Bollinger of Bloomfield and Douglas (Peggy) Bollinger of Dexter seven grandchildren 18 great grandchildren two great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Richard, Johnny and Oates.
Don, Darlene, and children lived in Michigan until 1960, when they bought a farm and moved to Missouri.
While living in Michigan, Darlene was busy raising two boys, being a cub scout leader, and cleaning houses.
After moving to Missouri, she worked many years at Elders Mfg and a shoe factory. She served as a Sunday School Teacher and Church Treasurer at Bell City General Baptist Church.
Darlene was outgoing, loving, kind, and generous. She liked growing a variety of flowers and being outdoors. She especially loved having large family get togethers and spending time with many friends. Many family, friends, the church, Arrowhead Campground, the attendees at Bell City Community Fish Frys and many more, can attest that she was a great cook. If you went away hungry from her table, it was your fault, because it was usually like having a feast.
Darlene will be very missed.
